Platinm rebounds following Lonmin bid

Platinum prices staged a rebound after Lonmin, the platinum producer, rejected a £5bn bid by Xstrata, the Swiss based mining group while crude oil prices remained below the $120 level ahead of the latest US inventories data, due for release later in the session.
